Ricardo Cruz is a seasoned finance and public administration specialist with a proven track record in the nonprofit and the public sector. In his most recent role as Financial Manager for the We Are All Human Foundation, a prominent U.S.-based nonprofit committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, Ricardo played a pivotal role in steering the organization towards financial sustainability.
As the primary financial liaison for the Foundation’s executives, Ricardo spearheaded efforts to establish a robust financial program for the burgeoning nonprofit. His strategic oversight proved instrumental as the Foundation evolved from a nascent initiative to a leading force in the sector, achieving an impressive annual fundraising total of over $1.2 million in 2023.
Previously, Ricardo served as Institutional Strategy Director for Mexico City’s Guaranteed Education Trust (FIDEGAR in Spanish). He also worked as a performance auditor on budget programs for the Federation’s Superior Audit (ASF in Spanish).
Cruz holds a bachelor’s degree in political science, with a specialization in public finances from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, as well as a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Instituto Politecnico Nacional. He’s set to finish an additional Bachelor of Law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2026. Ricardo finds balance in his life through his interests in running, traveling, and video games.
